The Making

Making well takes time. At Śauca, we have never considered this a constraint.

Every garment is made by hand at our atelier. The process is unhurried, each piece passing through multiple stages of cutting, stitching, and finishing before it leaves us. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is approximated.

Linings are selected for purpose. We use Japanese Bemberg where fluidity and breathability matter, and pure linen in pieces where structure is the intention. In select garments, linen-lined pockets carry the same cloth as the outer layer. A detail that goes unseen, but is felt.

Buttons are corozo, sourced from the tagua nut, hand-sewn individually with precision. Piping, where it appears, is cut and applied by hand. Every seam is finished. Every edge is considered.

A shirt takes nine to twelve hours to make. A set, fourteen or more. These are not figures for effect. They are simply what it takes to make something well.
